Chiropractic is about getting Checked
Chiropractic is about getting checked, not getting adjusted.
Yes, we adjust when necessary, but it is much more important for people to understand that we are most interested, and they should be too, in having their spines checked for the presence of vertebral subluxation.
Subluxation is not the thing we want to find is it? No. We want to find our practice members in their natural connected state of full expression. When we focus on solely on subluxation and getting adjusted, our practice members are also not focused on the why behind getting adjusted.
They are also not focused on the need for their family and friends to get checked. By making chiropractic about getting checked, versus getting adjusted, we reframe the conversation in the practice member and public’s mind that getting checked by the chiropractor is as natural, normal and necessary as getting one’s teeth checked.
Because this brochure is given relatively early on in care, and most people initially enter our offices with some sort of complaint, the focus of the brochure is on the importance of frequency of care, progress exams and principle #6, “There is no process that does not require time.”
Day 12 Brochure: Chiropractic is… about getting checked.
Front:
Chiropractic is about getting checked. While most people associate a trip to the chiropractor with getting adjusted, the most important aspect is having your spine checked for the presence or absence of vertebral subluxation.
It takes years of studying, training, and refining one’s skills to be proficient in detecting the presence of subluxation.
Regularly scheduled visits and re-exams ensure that you and your doctor have accurate and objective data to determine your progress and future frequency of care.
Back:
Anyone can push on a spine and make it pop, but only your chiropractor can know if, when and where you need to be adjusted.
Remember, you go to the chiropractor to get checked. If subluxation is found, you will be adjusted as required. If not, that is great news and means your pattern is improving.
Your individual pattern depends on many factors and will change as care progresses. Regularly scheduled re-exams will give you and your doctor more information to determine the best care interval for you.
The Day 12 chiropractic is… about getting checked brochure is designed to help your practice member understand why they should want to get checked and reinforce their decision to continue getting checked throughout their lives.
