I will sell Chiropractic, serve Chiropractic, and save Chiropractic if it will take me twenty lifetimes to do it. I will promote it within the law, without the law, in keeping with the law or against the law in order to get sick people well and keep the well from getting sick.
B.J. Palmer, D.C.
I am always amazed when I study the life and works of BJ Palmer.
He did more in a lifetime than the average 100 individuals could ever hope to.
If we had 100 chiropractors who embody the same work ethic in protecting and promoting chiropractic as the quote above, we would undoubtably be in a much better position.
The fact that so few in our profession even know our Developer’s many achievements and accomplishments or have even opened one of his many volumes of writings speaks volumes of what a dismal state the profession finds itself.
What other profession would ignore its most prolific writer and researcher?
None would be so foolish.
Yet the fools run rampant making laws, setting standards or lack thereof and driving the profession towards oblivion, all because others have their heads, hearts and hands solely in their practices and communities instead of in the development, protection and promotion of their profession.
It’s time to do both. The clock is ticking.
Don’t have time to show up? Great, make sure others can for you. Still a student and don’t know where to start? Go back to the source, discover what chiropractic is and find a mentor who can help and challenge you on your journey.
